Expert Visit
Our British education experts visited Shanghai to exchange insights on the future of AI-enhanced teaching and learning. Through school visits, classroom observations, and collaborative discussions, the delegation explored how innovative technologies are shaping education and strengthening Sino–British cooperation.

School Visit
As part of the seminar activities, three schools in Xuhui were visited by the British experts, accompanied by local representatives. These visits offered valuable opportunities for exchange, classroom observation, and discussion on the integration of AI and innovative teaching practices.
Olivia's School Visit - Nanyang Junior High School
Olivia was welcomed by the school principal and introduced to the institution’s history, areas of specialisation, and its ongoing and future plans for AI integration in the classroom. The visit included classroom observations, during which she interacted with students and teachers, followed by a guided tour of the school’s facilities that featured a student orchestra performance. The programme concluded with student sharing sessions and a final discussion reflecting on the key insights gained from the visit.
Russel's School Visit - Shanghai Primary School
At Shanghai Primary School, the visit focused on demonstrating to Russel how AI is being integrated into everyday teaching and learning. The school showcased its use of artificial intelligence in the classroom, including a mathematics lesson where AI tools supported students’ problem-solving. Students also presented creative projects involving the design and production of innovative products. A highlight of the visit was a robot demonstration, illustrating the school’s commitment to embedding technology into instruction and fostering meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
Claire's School Visit - Huali Affiliated Middle School
Claire received a warm welcome from the school’s leadership team, who introduced the school’s vision and recent initiatives. She first observed a biology lesson in which AI functioned as a “virtual biologist,” helping students verify the accuracy of their work and suggest improvements. A subsequent STEAM presentation showcased how technology is being used to promote inquiry-based learning and creative problem-solving. The visit also included a guided tour of the campus, providing an in-depth look at the facilities and resources that support innovation. The programme concluded with a discussion session where educators reflected on the school’s practices and exchanged perspectives on the future of AI in education.
