The following modules, jointly developed by Small World and Shanghai Open University, strengthen educators’ knowledge and skills through global best practices and contemporary trends in education.

Topics covered - "Constructing physical learning spaces and campus culture abroad" and "Virtual school visit: How learning spaces enhance teaching and learning".

Module 6: Research-Inspired Practice - Methods and Tools for Innovation

Module 5: Future Learning Spaces - New Horizons for Student Development
Workshop: Classroom Interior Design Simulator
Teachers were tasked with designing the “ideal” classroom environment to best support student learning. Groups received bonus points for incorporating elements such as plants to improve air quality or additional windows to enhance natural light, supporting students’ eyesight and overall well-being. After completing their designs, each group presented their concept and rationale to Professor Stephen Heppell, an expert in learning environment design. Overall, the workshop provided educators with valuable insights into the characteristics of effective learning environments and how such design principles can be implemented in their own schools.
